It all began as a passion not long after I purchased my first Paso Fino Mare back around 1998. She was a Petrolero daughter out of a Bochica daughter by the name of La Sangre de Bochica. It started, this passion is what I am talking about, when I started to think about who I might breed her too for her first foal. I wanted to make a good choice so I started gathering as much information that I could find about the available stallions.

I wanted to learn about their pedigrees and what made them special such as what shows they had won and how they moved. Its hard to believe now but at that time it was really hard to find good pedigree information about these champions. As one started asking questions it was soon apparent that many of the pedigrees were not correct as they were registered here in the USA.

Although the Paso Fino breed is 300-500 years in the making because they were mainly working horses people didn’t start keeping pedigree information until about the time they were starting to be imported in any volume to the USA in the mid 1960’s to mid 1970’s.

Out of this search for information came the idea for PasoPedigree.com. We hope that you enjoy these articles, photos and information about the history of these important Paso Fino Horses.
